In college, we had many opportunities to just have fun with our projects and I did just that in my Illustrator class.

We were tasked with designing a 3-dimensional paper character our of one sheet of paper in Adobe Illustrator. The character needed to be my own original idea or we could use an already existing person or character so long as it’s designed to look unique. The final design was to be printed in full color, include gradients and elements made with typography, and cut out and glued together.

Roughly 15 years later, I couldn’t tell you what inspired me to create Zombie Abe Lincoln but I know I enjoyed the process.
